The Roland DM-800 Multi Track Disk Recorder is a compact, stand alone unit - a completely dedicated digital audio workstation. At 12.4 lbs, it's extremely portable. Every feature is designed to make your work simpler, faster, more productive, more profitable. And, at a very low price, the DM-800 provides an amazing array of features and functions.
Whether you are in music production, post production or broadcast, the DM-800 is a full function workstation. It performs all digital mixing operations from audio recording to editing to track bouncing to final mixdown. It fully supports SMPTE and MIDI time codes and even features a built-in Sample Rate Resolver to synchronously lock to any time code.
Within minutes of taking the DM-800 out of the box, you'll be ready to work on your next project. There's very little to learn, because every function is hardware controlled and right in front of you. Since your fingers are navigating familiar territory, operations on the DM-800 are very fast.
The large LCD lets you see meters, time location, waveform, edit and track information. If you need a larger display, you can connect the DM-800 to your studio's video monitor or even your home TV. It features S-Video, Composite and RGB outputs and supports both NTSC and PAL.
While the DM-800 has the familiar feel of an analog controller, it has all of the advantages of random access digital editing.
